New surface rendering techniques

Not only can ScanXm do realistic volume rendering, it also implements the latest surface rendering techniques from the VTK library to enhance the realism of your segmented objects.

These include:
· Physically based rendering parameters, which ensures the realism of the surface material and how the light interacts with it.
· Ambient occlusion, which is a shadowing technique to make objects appear more three-dimensional.
· Depth of field, which allows you to define where the camera is in focus and blur the objects further away from this.
